i hate electronics, amp and sub help please!!
ok so im puttin a sup in my girlfriends car. She has a 98 Chrysler Sebring with the infinity stereo system. Im installing a audio pipe 12' 750w sub, with a Pyle chopper series 1400w amp. Ok so theres a problem. I got one of those convertersto convert the wires goin to her rear stock speakers/subs to RCA cables, same as I did in my mustang. Installed that and hooked up everything. Turn on the stereo i get a green light on the amp and the stereo plays butno sub. Well, the sub works like if you put your hand on the box you can feel it vibrate with the right beats and if u listen close you can hear itkick. But if your head is more than a foot away from the box you cant hear anything. So i turned up the bass on the head unit, thenturned it up on the amp, nothing. The sub is not getting power at all and wont hit hard. Im pissed, i checked all the connections made sure thethe ground was on bare metal, grouned it to the trunk latch bolts. What the hell is my problem here, its making memad.
Thanks,
jay
Thanks,

the converters should have a controll on it too. sounds like it is turned down. should be a gain controll for each side (left and right) so make sure you kept it balanced.
Also where did you connect the line out converter at? Since she does have the infinity system in her car, you need to catch the speaker wires coming from off a speaker itself. (IE; you need to catch the signal AFTER the factory amp)
Also consider the fact you are running an audio pipe sub and a pyle amp. Those wattage ratings are grossly overrated so do not expect it provide a ton of bass.
I did connect the line out converter after the after the factory amp. And yea i know about the wattage ratings on the sub and amp, but there is no bass what so ever, u have to be like a foot away to barely hear it. This weekend I will try the settings on the line out converter.
