sirius/xm antenna question
i have a kenwood nav in dash receiver and it has xm and sirius. does anyone know if it is possible for me to use just 1 antenna if i want both services? i want sirius for the music and xm for its live traffic. thanks for any help.
they did and they are considering an pick and choose menu but that all has to be approved by the fcc first. I love my traffic on sirius, I don't ever really need to know the weather, its hot and dry.....
The antenna's will have to be different as they are tuned for different freq's from what I know.

On behalf of all us Mustang owners, I am sorry for the poor response.
Sirius & XM have not merged. That deal is still pending, even though stockholder for both companies have given their approval.
Because of the nature of satellite radio, the antennas can not be combined. Or atlease I have not found a way to combine the two. Sorry.

I think it would look a little funny with two of them next to one another imo. I would try to seperate them if I could. I actually mounted my antenna on the drivers side cowl right next to the windshield wiper motor. The cowl is a black piece of plastic that is thin and on top of metal so the magnet still stuck just fine. Make sure that when the wiper moves that it does not go over the top of it or your signal will cut out. You hardly notice mine(I don't think I have any pics where you can see it on my cardomain page)and you could put another one on the other side just as easily.
A. They are still 2 different componies (but not for long...)
B. You can not wire 2 tuner boxes to 1 antenna, looks like you're using 2, sorry
C. The antenna's are interchangable, if you already have xm and you switch to siruis, keep your xm antenna because it WILL plug in (as long as you have the newer single plug not the dual plug) and it WILL last longer...... I warranty out 20 sirius antennas per month and only 1 or 2 xm ones so that obviously means the xm ones are better. I'm using an xm one on my sirius as we speak.
