Default Shaker 1000 Question

Does anyone know if the Shaker 1000 head unit stereo is a simple plug and play into a 05 and up mustang that didn't come stock with the Shaker 1000? Reason I ask is because I sold my Shaker 1000 head unit that was professionally unistalled to someone that didn't have it stock in his newer mustang and he said it wont work like some kind of error message. Now my radio worked on the way up to the place that uninstalled so I was just curious to know if anyone had any answers. Thanks!!

if he did not have the premium system consisting of a shaker ora mach system then he is outta gas. Otherwise tell him to disconnect power and then try again to reset it, it is a common problem for them to jam.

So it is not possible for someone that didn't have the shaker 1000 stock to upgrade to it? I am wondering why a lot of people are wanting to buy the shaker 1000 head unit?

well of course they can upgrade their system to a 1000 but that would require much more then just a new head unit. I think ALOT of people just love the idea of the indash changer, until it jams and it ALWAYS jams and then................ Not so much.......
