Default Ford/Microsoft Sync

I just saw a commercial for this on TV. I want it badly. Wonder if we will be able to retrofit it into existing cars? I have the factory nav which is decent but really miss bluetooth. Looks like it will also do bluetooth to an iPod, etc.

the idea of anything microsoft inside my car kinda scares the hell out of me. Rather then turning the key and taking it out we will probably have to leave the key in, touch both bumpers and the antenna at which point the car will then ask ifwe are sure we want to turn it off..............

I'm wondering the same thing too, I rented a Mercury Milan and it was pretty cool, I liked the fact that I can answer calls, send text messages, and call peoplew/o taking my hands off the steering wheel or too much focus off of the road. I'm mainly wondering if the head unit from that mercury can fit into a '04 Stang w/o major modification?

I am hesitant as I still remember our rep demo-ing the auto pc that did some of the same stuff. It was great as long as everything was silent but in traffic or with the radio at only a low volume it led to you screaming at it.

I will never forget that rep, tryin to look cool and collected.

Auto pc volume down, NO DOWN

with a struggling smile,"AUTO PC VOLUME DOWN"

And finally with his face turning red "AUTO PC VOLUME DOWN DAMNIT!"

our laughter was probably in the way of his commands by now as it was too funny... I hope the voice recognition has improved, all we need is another reason to yell in traffic.
