well if your looking for hardcore base. you got the wrong subs!

as far as the box type. i would go ported. 2 seperate box's if you cant fit one big one in. and if you cannot fit the vertical put them in the box facing the top of the trunk.

as far as the amp by the sounds of those #'s i would ditch it, sounds like a cheap off brand amp.

remember you get what you pay for!!!!!!!!

Don't take this the wrong way, snake, but you're so wrong on the amp it's not even funny.

Stephen Mantz-built amps (Zed Audio) are about as far from "junk" as you can get. The Lanzar Optis are quite nice.

That being said, this amp probably isn't powerful enough for those two subs. IMO, maxer, you should use the Opti for your interior (door) speakers and get a new amp for the subs. You need something that will put out a legitimate 300-600 watts.

Couldn't agree more. If the lanzar optidrive's were built the say way today, I'd buy them.

You can make just about any sub loud in the right enclosure. It just depends on how poopy you want it to sound.

Are you bridging it to those subs? The problem comparing that amp to the MTX is that the lanzar in underrated and the mTX is overrated. The real way to tell power output is to bench test them, or you could determine your peak current flow through the wire with a multi-meter and then use ohm's law to determine output. You would ahve to make sure you played the same music and set the gains where you would set them in the car to get a somewhat decent result.

LMAOOOOOO

lanzar is garbage!!!

if that 2050 watt amp he has is like that, sell it.

im sorry but while i was into the sub phase. i rocked kicker, and directed amps. friends did same or mtx.

i did not buy junk, so i could have my subs clip out like an animal.

IF YOU HAVE TO get a cheaper amp buy a hifonics atleast. they are slighty underrated power wise but are pretty descent.

You're a frickin' idiot.

Have you ever heard of Stephen Mantz, creator of the legendary Zed Audio corporation?

He was responsible for many faaaaaaaaantastic amplifiers in the early-to-mid 90s (and even still today). The Lanzar Opti serieswas one of the lines that he produced.

Current Lanzar amps, as we've already discussed, are garbage.

You don't know what this amp is, so why don't you just shut your mouth and stop pretending you do? I mean that in the nicest way possible. If you don't know what the amp is, don't assume you do and try to tell others it's garbage. Defer to someone else who has more knowledge of the amp.

Kthx.

yes i am speaking of the lanzar line of today[:@]

and you must not visit car audio forums do you?

yea i dont know this amp that you are speaking of. but if its that old i highly doubt it still works.

AND IF THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT AMP. why would this kid pair it with clarion sub's??????

Dude, you're just making yourself look like more and more of a buffoon, so why don't you just call it quits and walk away?

I'm using a Hifonics Gemini VI, which is from that same era, and it works like a charm. Just because an amp is old doesn't mean it's busted. And as for the subs, just because the kid had a solid amp is no reason for why he would 'automatically' have nice subs. He could've just been an idiot who picked a good amp but didn't know anything about subs.

Your rationale is moronic at best. Just let it go and move on to the next thread.
