IMO, I'd follow the guide ttocs provided, try to use your stock amps, and see how it sounds. If you don't like it, you can always buy more stuff and go a different route..

Im not to concerned about a budget, I just want/need someone to hold my hand through a 4 channel amp selection for my particular setup (What WATT amount should I be looking for? ect.). Car audio is not my thing and im pretty much dead set on replacing the factory amp system. Im not concered about an amp for subs just for my car stereo, I know you can never have to much power but I dont really need a high powered amp if im really never going to be pushing that much power ever. My stangs a vert to so if that affects anything (dont know if there is a space issue behind the back seat and where the top folds up)
IMO, you should really give the OEM integration guide (ttocs') a shot and see how things sound with the stock amplifiers. If you don't like it, you can go from there and buy some new stuff. You may be perfectly happy with the OEM amps, though..

Do you want us to walk you to the store, point at something and then watch you wip out the plastic? Tell us what kind of music ya like? how loud do you normally listen to it? Do you think you will want to expand the system later or is this it? By switching out the stock deck and doing a little bit of tweeking to the stock system(keep the amps and speakers)you can really make the 460rock.BUT if you are dead set on ripping it allout you have to give us some kind of budget. We can recommend speakers ranging from $10-$10k depending on what you want and your lack of a budget.....

Im a rockkinda guy, hard rock and heavy metal so Im looking for a clean sound rather then a lot ofbass. I do occasionally listen to rap though but dont plan on building a system around it. I listen to my music reasonably loud and the louder the better, I have a convertible w/ lt's, o/r x, and 1 chamber flows so things can get pretty noisy pretty quick. This is gonna complete my system,I don't care to add subs. I think that answers about everything.
So at least in my mind we are all caught up on whats the deal on my system, soooo back to my question that has yet to be responed to Im looking for a 4 channel car stereo amp to FINISH off my system. What brands should I stick with for my particular needs? This is the part I need to be walked through, I have absolutelyminimum knowledge but can learn quick. Thanx guys
ok sorry, I got sidetracked. As for amp brands I am running diamond audio myself but other good brands include jl, alpine, jbl, there are more then a few.
I would first correct what you have going there now. It sounds like he tried to wire the componants up to the factory amp which you and he found out will not work. You should bypass the stock amps and use the bypass hrns in the dash. I point to it on page 2 of my cardomain page and your 01 should be the same. Wire your deck into this as your speaker hrns and you just bypassed your amps. You will need to use the tweeters speaker wire in the door but that will give you a full range signal from the deck.

Its seems a little more logical to me to wait and buy the amp I want, because my speakers are gonna have to be wired to the new amp anyways, why do a rewiring job twice, right?
Im at school right now and will have to pay someone to rewire (no tools or time cuz of finals) my speakers and ive shopped around and have been quoted $50-$100. Seems like w/ a purchase of a amp from a local speaker shop and the cheaper install cost that usually comes w/ buying a product from that store I could save myself some time and money and fix the problem all at once.

if you still looking for an amp for your components, look into autotech amps on ikesound their cheep and the ones that are a or a/b class are ment for speakers not subs
