Default new stuff installed, need advice

I just had a JVC 7" In-Dash DVD Player (Model #: JVC KWAVX800) and Polk speakers to replace all the factory speakers installed. I really don't have a great knowledge of car audio so help me out with a few questions or any ideas to help complement my new system. First off the guy installing seemed a little frustrated with my cars mach 460 system from the factory, then after everything was said in done he told he could only get the high frequency and low frequency out of my speakers without having to rewire my speakers individually to my head unit.

-Is this true and if so why?

-If this needs to be done am I really missing out on something or would if be a trained ear difference?

Lastly I need amp suggestions for this setup, I understand that our car has a 2 amp system and I'm guessing its a two 2 channel amps.

-Should I just replace the amps with two better amps(brands?) or is just getting a 4 channel amp something I should be looking into?

he as getting pissed cus half ur speekers arent working due to the fact of any after market deck you will not be able to use ur factory amps you have to bypass them so with that said yes he would have had to rewire ur car but i would have made him do it cus im sure that you paid an arm and a leg. shoot i used to charge an arm and a leg just cus it was time consuming and no one wanted to do it. but for componits use a 4 channel and ur subs go with single mono amps due to you getting full power also get everything 2ohm stable!!!!!!! you get more consistence power but i can go on and on about little stuff you can buy to get more power out of ur system like a line drive, a cap that will make ur subs hit more constante due to the amp drop eveytime the bass hits it also saves ur alt!

Appreciate the quick response you pretty much answered all my questions. Any brand suggestions on the 4 channel amp?

pretty much an amp can process morepower better at 2ohm than at 4ohmand you olny worry about it when wiring upa sub. also it olny applys to duel voice coil subs which if you go after market get duel voice coil its basicly 2 subs in one so you can go with one no problem. also you would have to have an amp that states they are 2ohm stable. also stay away from best buy and places like that, they chargeway to much.go to ur local speeker shop. they always have the best deals. infact for smoking deals go on ebay!!!!!! no joke, i dont mind if it was stolen if i pay 5 bucks for somthing that costed 100.

Dont get a capacitor. the capacitors actually kill your electrical system. http://realmofexcursion.com/forum.html
go to charging and electrical systems and see why you dont need a cap. If your running enough wattage to concern yourself about your electrical system get a dual battery set up go with the big 3 set up and deffinetly dont get a cap. I am seriously not bashing im just throwing in my .02 from experience. and a dual voice coil sub is not like having 2 subs it just opens up different amp choices from being able to run it in different ohms by running it in parellel or a series wiring set ups.
also make sure you get a class d amp for your sub and a class a or ab amp for your components. sonicelectronix.com is a good site so is woofersetc.com and ikesound.com on ikesound for your components check out autoteck amps. make sure you shop around for the best price on each individual thing. just because one place was the best on one product doesnt mean it is on another even of the same brand.

What brands shouldI be looking at for a4 channel amp for components? I hear stay away from JVC car audio products, any others I should be looking out for? Should I just stick w/ the big names like kicker, pioneer, alpine, kenwood or JL audio? Personal experiences w/ each?

wrong wrong wrong...........

Don't listen to this advise, I will scold him later...

The mach is one of the easiest systems to rock with a new deck and with some tuning it will really really rock. Hit page 2 of my cardomain page and let me know what hrns's you have and what he was trying to do wiring wise, there are a few ways to sking this cat..

KDsmppt - pay attention and we will show you what you need to know. Please don't drop in on advise unless you are 100% sure it is correct.

ya know other people will one day love rocking your stuff for pennies on the dollar for what you pay. What goes around comes around and just because you didn't steal it does not mean that you are any better of a person for buying it and using it....

I am disappointed in youas if ya care.....
