i got a 1000 watt systemand im going to get a cap. can someone tell me what some good brands are and how many farads to go with? thanks

 

FAQ sticky, there is tons of information on capacitors.

 

caps went out with the new millenium. Spend the cash on upgrading a battery and doing a big 3 upgrade and it is $$$ better spent.

Think of it this way, you upgrade yourinjectors but keep the same size fuel pump... No! You want the fuel pump to run at it's full potential, otherwise the injectorsaren't going to get the amount of fuel they need to properly function.

 

caps are not really worth it unless your lights are dimming and you already have the upgrades. But to answer the question, i like the power acoustic caps and rockford's and if you have the money get the 5 farad but you could do a lil less.

Caps are great paper weights, and cost a fortune for something that actually hurts your charging system.

 

in the end there is not one brand that is better then the others. They are often made in the same place and just wrapped with a different logo. But agian unless somebody is givin ya one and wants to install it for you as well I would not bother.
