alpine headrest TV's
Hey guys, i got a pair of alpine headrest TV's -model # TME-M580- on ebay that came with a head unit i bought, but didn't come with any install bracket or instructions or anything. The video cables it came with also are in such bad shape they are shorting out and hardly work at all, does anybody know where i can get some replacement video cables for these TV's? also does anybody know where to get the install brackets, or it looks like theres threaded hole on the bottom for install? I'm not familiar with headrest TV's and they were just a throw-in on my head-unit so any help would be appreciated.
I know parts express has some universal mounting kits, contact them about whether they can/will work with the Alpines you have.
I have a headrest monitor I bought super cheap at a swap meet and to be honest it would be very easy to fab a bracket for it, if you would rather save the work or hairpulling, check out parts express.
The wiring... you may need to contact Alpine, sucks I know and it may cost you a little, but theres not to many places I know of that will have them for 1 specific model thats not current. eBay, but thats definatly hit and miss. You can always try places like Cruthfield and all that you never really know unless you call and ask, I mean call 5-6 online dealers spend 5-10 minutes on the phone, could find what your looking for.
Also check out woofersetc.com, they could have some brackets that will work and also ask them about the wiring for it.
If nothing else, wire it your self. Little soldering and doing some patch work, could take care of it and be the cheapest way too.
