I installed a new after market stereo in my 88" and was wondering why I had 3 extra wires coming from the car? One is red, the other orange with black and the last is green and orange(?). Are these the dash speaker wires? Anyone have a clue?

 

red is usually a power connection.

Orange is usually illumination.

Ttocs, should have a clue.






They could be the hook up for the flux capacitor!

 

are these factory wire colors? If it is factory wire colors the red is probably a ground but the others I would need a meter to diagnose. Did you test them for power, with the keys on and the lights on?
