im putting an system in my bmw and i just bought this amp http://www.usacoustics.com/2004/usb2150%20specs.htm
and an 12 inch sub enclosure, im going to brige that amp to run the sub and im going to use and smaller 4 chanel amp to run the mids and highs
US Acoustics is not the best in the world, but they are not the worst either. That 450 watt rating is not going to be a true power rating. It is more than likely just its max power rating. You can probably expect about 200-225 watts true power or RMS out of that amp. 200-225 watts should be plenty depending on what type of sub you are running off of it.
Its okkk... my dad had a couple to power his component speakers. Their not really good for powering subs tho. They are good if you wanna buy something decent for a low price...
my friend had a older model 2150 in his car for quite some time powering 2 Cerwin vega DVC 12s it really pounded and the amp never failed. i would get one if i found a good deal on one
