SHAKER 500 QUESTIONS
I was doing an upgrade from the deluxe radio to the Shaker 500 system. I installed the Shaker 500 and there was no bass coming from the speakers period. I checked the settings and everything was correct. I was wondering is there specific wiring I need, because I noticed there is an extra plug on the back of the Shaker 5 when compared to the deluxe radio and I can't figure out where to get the adapter. Any info would be great thanks.
Oh and it's an 07 GT. thanks.

I have never helped anyone install a shaker system, just pull one out. The extra hrns on the back could be for a changer input. I would check to make sure the amps have power as well as a remote turn on.
the delux (base model) is a non amplified system, where as the shaker 500 and 1000 are amp'd, that extra plug is likley for a harness for amps, and you wont get much bass at all unless you install amps.
The plugs on the back are the main connetor to run it (includes all 4 speakers) then comes the AUX then comes the j4 (or sub connector) the 500 has a single line the 1000 has 2 lines (high and low powered) they hook to amps I had to buy a metra rewire harness to use my shaker 1000 hu in a focus so its nothing special its just limited to the information you will find. Also i believe the shaker has a little more wattage its self, change your speakers and re test. I put in MB Quarts i just like them and when or if you wire the subs up run new power lines i ran knukoncepts power and ground (my favorate wire) also if you don't have the rest of the harness for the sub out using the metra one you can if your smart make an adapter for rcs cables beghind the radio and run SHIELDED rca to your sub location. Like i said i have a shaker focus wich is silly but anything is possible its just electronics
