Just picked upa new Mustang Mag and it has a feature car (Fox Body) that has the Head Unit placed where the middleAC ducts should be. Lookskiller and wondered if anyone out there has this set up and if so, is it totally custom or is there a mount kit for it??

Pics would also becool if yougot it.

Theres a mount kit for it, you can get it at Best Buy or Wal-mart.

Never seen a kit that allows you to put the radio there. There is already a double din opening on the fox bodies good god what else did they need to put in there?

No really, I'm going to make one up this weekend with some fiberglas resin from Depot if I can't find one. I'm sure it can't be that hard but it is def not a normal size opening.

There is no kit for this, you will have to make your own. I don't know that you need to glass something that small as there are plenty of fillers that could be used to fill the small gap between the frame you will need to build and the dash. Again, what are you putting in the double din opening that is already there?

 

Needs the room for gauges.

Clock, outside temp, compass. All the important stuff can take up some of that DDIN space.

You do realize thats a hole where heat and a/c generally flows through. You going to do anything about sealing it off?
