All the coils are in parallel, the wiring looks strange because of the connectors.

Try a different audio source, you can use an mp3 player with headphone to rca attachments.

Just for kicks have you tried disconnecting one of the rca's with the amp on? Just humor me and try it..... Also try switchin the left and right rca's.

Thats a combination of series and parallel the way you have those wired.

Hey this time it was a broken switch on the amp to set the power level, honestly I just dont have much luck with amps lol, replaced it with one of my friends amps and bam it worked fine, so I took the amp back to the store, got another one and it works fine now, I knew I didnt have it set up wrong haha.
