Default No Bass

ok so I Bought the txi6006 to replace an old amp that wasnt working now my problem is I can feel the subs vibrate a little bit when the bass and woofer settings are turned up all the way on my HU but I can only feel them vibrate when i put my hand on the cone other than that you cant even hear their working.

both subs have a 4.1ohm resistance their Jl w3v2's 4ohm dual voice coil subwoofer.

New Rca's good power/ground to the amp all other speakers work perfectly fine. when I turn off the internal amp I can hear music being played from the woofers although very low sound but still there is music, Idk if this is bad or if something is wired wrong but its driving me absolutely crazy.

Im using this wiring for the woofers.

Head unit is a CDA-9885 alpine and subwoofer is turned ON as well as woofer system 2

are they moving a little or a alot? If they are not moving much they I would test your input by using a mp3 player and a headphone-to-rca connector.

If they are moving as though they are recieving full power then it sounds as though you have one of the speakers wired out of phase, or connected backwards. When one sub moves forward 1 inch the other moved backward 1 inch resulting in no change in pressure, and now sound. It is kinda neat to see both subs at full excursion and almost no sound. You can test this easily by just disconnecting one of the rca's.

My only other concern is that you might have the coils on each speaker connected backwards. This would mean that when one coil is trying to throw the speaker forward, the other coil has the EXACT same amount of energy driving it backwards. This would result in very little sound and you melting your speaker in short time I would double check this first, even though I am sure you are shakin yer head saying you know it is right while reading this(am I right on that? Every installer swears it is right!). Often the terminals on the DVC subs are backwards from what you would think(pos on one side is not pos on the other)and if you are not EXTRA carefull it is easy to do but has bad results(terminal).

yeah double check the phase on both speakers. you will definitely hear a difference. usually al you have to do is change the wiring on one sub and it should correct your problem

yeah i would try the subs in one of your friends systems, to see if the subs aren't actually working, otherwise i would go through and check the wiring again.

Well I rewired all the subs and with the blue and silver wiring that you see above and I get quite a bit more bass out of them than I was before however its still on +15 woofer and +7 bass which is max on both for my head unit which is obviously not good, Now im thinking I have them wired wrong but I cant se how I've double checked connections til my heads about to fall off, and could the subs be messed up if both of then read perfect ohms of resistance? I thought thats how you checked if they were working correctly or not?

Thats a combination of series and parallel the way you have those wired.
