Installing radio in 460..wtf?

Default Installing radio in 460..wtf?

I've got like...2 radio decks..well one is CD, but theres a radio/ cassette playeron the top and a CD player on the bottom.. ay i want to upgrade to an aftermarket head unit, what the heck do i do? How would i hook it up? when i get the wiring harness, which wires do i match? there are wires running on the bottom player AND the top...

the deck on the top is your actual radio in the car, the cd player on the bottom is just an external cd player. An aftermaket radio goes where the tape player is, the wireharness should match up. After you install the aftermarket radio The cd player on the bottom will be useless.

SO i just leave any wires behind the CD player unplugged?

you can remove the cd player and replace it with a din pocket that you can use to hold small stuff(until you punch the gas).

PAge 2 of my cardomain page shows how I did the 460 with a deck install. It does not have to be that hard, I just tweeked it until it sounded good and then ripped everything out.

What are your longterm stereo plans? The 460 is a little picky about what youcanreplace and when it will sound good, most stereo shops will tell you that you have to rip everything out and that is not true.
