Default Antennae qestion

Just got an 03 Cobra and i gotta do something about the antennae. IMO its tacky. I either want to get a shorty antennae or get rid of it completely. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not to good with electronics so if I need to replace it or remove it let me know what antennaes I could replace it with. thanks guys.

the shorty's get crappy reception. If you do put one on just for looks then look into what is called an underdash strip ant as they work great and do not have to be seen.

If you cut your antenna to roof length about 14" you won't lose any reception. I did it with mine and its fine. You can also go to 8" but I have heard you lose a little bit of reception but not alot.

you can blow the tuner section of your radio by doing this. Antenna's are not just random pieces of metal that they stick on the side of the car they are highly tuned and calibrated instruments that can effect not only radio clarity, but also how long the radio lasts...

I don't know how else to explain it to you other then that it is bad even though it still works.
