that last picture is funny as hell. I don't think they took up any space from the spare, it looks like it is just sitting there. The funny part is if you look at the speaker connections on the top of the pic, T-taps and a bunch of tape, still hangin down.

 

ill post up pics of my new set-up in about a week. it'll be done soon. but my subs arent in the trunk. theyre in the cabin cause no matter what you cant loose that annoying trunk rattle. period. not in the 05-07's. i tried everything. dynamat everywhere. covering things with insulation, etc and the rattle still comes. it even happens in the wheel wells. i was down on the ground looking at part of my exhaust and was jamming while working (gotta have some tunes on) and i got down there under my wheel well and a hard section of bass hit and rattled dirt off my wheel well and into my eyes!

my setup replaces my rear seat. and so far no rattles at allwit a 12" L5 and a 750.1 on it. im adding a 1000.1 and two 10" L5s this week. if you want pics/ help with in cabin subs/install i can help you a little. i cant tell you how to wire the car/amps, but i did build theboxes and wired thespeakers.

 

when i get subs i plan on doing a simplistic design like number 3 in06Redfire3V, just a simple sealed box pushed back up against the seat and braced down, with a front that contours to the shape of the trunk. I'm wanting to just do a straight pioneer car on this build. Got a Avic-D3 on the way, and i plan to run all pioneer speakers in the car and would like to do pioneer subs and amps as well.

 

Thanks for the input everyone, I probably should have mentioned that I have three JL amps that need to fit in there as well....and I want to have as much space as possible in the trunk still, im thinking about putting the box back in, and pushing it all the way back to the rear seats, and building the amp rack across the top of the box...

 

I can hear some dope head kid in baggy shorts and a cap on sideways "Man my junk will hit 200 dbs" lmao.

I'm probably gonna build my own box soon. Gotta figure out were to mount my two huge amps at? One can fit on the rear seat, then the other will probably have to touch it like face to face, mounted on the back of the box going up that annoying angle in the back. I'll do a how to and post lots and lots of pics.
