Default custom rear seat two 12's....

I asked around at a couple places for someone to be able to install two 12's in my stang facing the inside of the car from the trunk. Everyone told me nope..... not enough room it will never work. Nothing is impossible so I got to tearing it apart my self and fabbed up my own seat delete. I wanted to flush mount the subs to it, but I already was pushing it trying to get these things in there to begin with and have the adequate air space. any other way I looked at it, the subs bottomed out on the trunk floor. So out with the grinder . I cut off the lip the goes around the trunk. Only about 1 1/2" - 2" from the top and a little notch on each side you can see in the pics. I really didnt weaken anything and left the welded areas alone that gave it the major stuctural support. While I was in there I replace the factory deck speakers with 6x9's and had to fab up some spacers for the to fit. The deck lid is kind of a tight fit, but none the less it works.

Here it is.....

Recarpeted the whole trunk including the spare wheel well. This is where the amp and power caps are. suspended from a cut out I made and laid down and then capeted over.

Im going to paint the braces black so you cant see them as well.

I took alot of time to hide all the wires to give it a clean look.

Let me know what you guys think

Nice. How hard was it to build the sub box and the rear seat delete? I have that same amp, its a good amp.

I actually used an old box I had and just retro fit it to the delete. boxes arent hard to make though. The delete was easy and cheap. use cardboard and cut templates then transfer them to whatever your using to make it and cut it out with say a jig saw like I used and like taco bell "your good to go" lol. I used those little 90 degree brackets with a hole on each end to connect the to and bottom together and screws to connect the top to the body and the bottom to the body. there are other ways though. carpet was the most expensive. like $10/ yd I bought 8 yards to recarpet everything in the trunk including the box and the delete. still it was WAY cheaper than every pre-made one online!

The caps are because I need another battery so they kind of help take the strain off my "car" battery..... which is what you see in the trunk. I relocated it to make room under the hood.

Glad every one likes the setup

Unfortunatly something ist right. subs arent working. first it was the tranny line then the subs and while messing with the subs the fuel pump went out on me...... All in the last 3 days! [:@]

a couple days on and off...... plus I kept changing my mind on how to do it. Nothing to drasticlly time consuming though.

Figured out what the problem was.......[>:] After taking the amp apart, as I was looking for a fuse on this thing I realized that I was staring at a dead amp. two of the capacitors on the inside had shorted out and smoked everything. I guys that goes to show you cant even trust family as I said I bought it from my brother.......... NEVER AGAIN [sm=headbang.gif] I will be looking for an amp here shortly. I heard it bump for a second on a little 80 watt amp I used to test the speakers, lol. No comparison though [sm=lame.gif]
