Wow, now I'm getting somewhere.[8D]

OK, what does "bridging" reffer to exactly? I think I know, but I want to be sure. Also, if you bride on a 4 channel amp how many channels does that leave open? Also, do you run one channed for all the speakers, or one channel front, one channel rear? Also what is a good wattage amp to look at.

Oh, I have a rear seat delete, which is what mainly affected the tone of my W2s.

Check out the stickies!

Lots of information in there.

Actually your bridging question is the first question answered I believe.

Bridged means pretty much getting more power out of a multi-channel amp. Ex.. Bridging a 2 channel amp to support 1 subwoofer. Say there are 4 terminals for 2 subs, 2 positive and 2 negative. Say your sub is 200 watts rms @ 4 ohms but your amp is 100watts x2 rms@ 4 ohm its obviously not enough to power your subwoofer. But, when its bridged, meaning you connectone positive wire and one negative wire to each set of terminals, you can get more juice to get 200watts x1 rms @ 4 ohms. If that helped!

Pretty simple u could read sticky and get most info needed but if ur lazy like me here we go if u have a 4 channel you would use 1 channel for your right front stage 1 for you left front stage so now that leaves u 2 channels left bridge them which means combine the signal so doubles the power to a single channel and run your sub! no need for rear componets. How many watts do you need well that a wide question what sub you wanting to run? problems with 4 channel amps is that even though you can bridge 2 channels to run a sub your very limited on power cause there not to many 4 channel amps out there that produce 500watts rmsper channel so u would most likely need a sub that can handle 300 to 500rms max which means find a amp that can produce 200watts per channel. Thegood option is a 5 channel that can run many stages plus has a dedicated channel to just run a sub but are kinda pricey. Or you could get a 2 channel to run ur front stage and a mono to run ur subs (i consider this the best option) but that my oppin. Hope this helps.
