Default 2 grand to play with!!!(suggestions needed)

Well lucky me, for spring break i'm getting about 2 grand from my dad to put newwheels and a new stereo system for my car. I'm getting 18' black bullets from american muscleso that leaves me with about 1000 to play with for the system.
I was looking at:
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4609for the components and http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5721for the amp, and twohttp://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4573 for the subs, and either http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5468 or http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5634 for the HU and just build my own sub box, or find one cheap.

Now i would like to ask the car audio gods of these forums for their input, suggestions, and opinions; as well as answers to the following questions:
1. will all ofthis stuff work together
2. is there anything i should know or consider about these particularproducts before buying them
3. which HU would you go with/ is the panasonic worth the 100 or so extra
4. is there anything i would need other than this/ something to look into after buying

Feel free to suggest other set-ups (my heart is not set), just keep it around 1000, F.Y.I i will probably do the install myself with the help of my bro-in-law.

get a different amp. you gotta look at the RMS wattage at how many ohms, and what type of voice coils the subs are and how to wire them. ive been told that for the optimum power/sound quality mix run your subs at 2 ohms. 4 at most. never at 1. most amps cant even take 1. That amp is only putting out maybe 260rms bridged x 2. IF it is correctly rated. buy a mono amp (that was a 4-channel) and wire your subs together. it will save you alot of trouble. and dont box them in the same open space. (two subs in one box w/o a divider)

check this site out, it maye help you a bit, but you gatta kinda seach around for what youre lookin for.

If you want to spend around $90 dollars for subs even Sony Xplod 10"s would be better..Choose your subs first and then get an amp to match your subs. For the price, I would suggest http://www.infiniteelectronix.com/in...amp;ProdID=744or a single Kicker Comp-VR 10" (note, for the price). If you go with a single sub itll save you money when purchasing an amp and also save you trunk room.

fist of all [sm=thanx.gif] now:

- so what sub/amp combo would work for me
would i just use the hu's amp to run the components or would i need to get a multiple channel amp or a separate amp altogether
-and what subs have the best "bang" for the buck either single or double i dont care
-really i just wanna get the best system i can with the cash im getting (but with a full screen HU)
-oh and this ohm stuff is confusing can you explain it[&:]

If you want an in dash monitor head unit i would look at a Clarion or JVC or Kenwood instead of that Dual. Definitely stay away from that. That Panny may be good, i haven't read a whole lot about it. You can get one of the one's i listed for about $500 or $550, and refurbs a bit cheaper. If refurbs carry the same warranty as new i would go that route.

That leaves lets say $500.

I would go with a complete Elemental Designs package-
Subwoofer - (1) 11Kv.2 (use a ported box)
Components - 6000v.2
Amp - NINe.4

That only puts you at $900.

And then you can always expand and upgrade from there, but that would be a great starting system for under a $1000. Don't forget wiring kits, wood, wood glue, terminal cup, RCA cables, silicone, and other miscellaneous items you will need.

I have to admit sony xplod is highly under rated. When used correctly they can give off one of the best sounds around.

-my cousin just offered two 10' JL subs for 50 bucks that he says can handle 800 watts max
if i get them then what amp should i get since i will have extra cash/ which will work best
-bump on my question above on how to amplify both the components and subs
do i use multiple amps or just multiple channel amps or no amp for the comps. ?
or is the amp i picked ok?
