problems with system again
i finally got the subs to work but of course got a minor problem, or maybe not. does any one elses system pull off some power even when the car is off. like if i take the power cord and just touch the battery the wire sparks. is there a way to fix this. like a relay or something? thanks.
bizarre, had a bizarr question, I know, I know corny, but I am tired and just felt like posting something. But like everyone else said yes it should do that since it is your POWER wire, so i think this thread is over with.
like when i put the power line onto the battery it sparked. and when i put the ground wire into the amp another time putting the box in it sparked to. does anyone ever hear of putting a relay or something on it?

you have no problems with the system.. sparks are sometimes a good sign. hope it helps, any more questions just ask
Yes it is normal. The spark you see is the circuit being completed when you touch the wire to the post. No power is being used though as long as the system is off. You could take the power wire from the headlights and disconnect it and then touch it to the battery terminal without the headlights being on and it too would spark.
aight cool thanks guys. i just was wondering if it was pulling from my battery becasue i had it on another car that i have that usually sat around like threw the winter and something would drain the battery and i thought it was this damn thing.
