Default Audio Help

I am a noob when it comes to this stuff. I want to replace the ystem in my mustang. I am probably going to go to a place called senor stereo, but I need to have a clue before I go.

I want a very loud clean sound, not just gross base.

What speakers/subs/amps size/etc should I be looking at for an 2008 mustang GT(not talking about the brand)

Also should I get dynamat???

Thanks for your help Alex

well since we are not talking brands i think 3 8's running off a mono amp would be something to look at. Id go for 3 ways up front with a 2 channel running them and like u said ur avic. Do not shop at local shops they make there money by doubling the price u pay when u can get the same sub/amp/speakers online with warrenty for half the price. If u dont wanna install urself then go to them but id have them do nothing but install. As far as brands go hell everyone on this site seems to have there own choice so since thats the case go do some research then choose the best.

3 8's? that is the first time I have heard anyone recommend 8's on here. Not bad(since I sport 4 - 8's). Three ways are more expensive to start and will require custom work to make them fit so that is $$$ on top of $$$$'s if you can't install them yourself. I have 3 ways and built kick panels for them and they sound BEAUTIFULL but they are a pia to make and make look good. You can check them out on my cardomain page.

Local shops may not be a bad idea for you if you are new to audio. A good shop will provide a service that you will remember long after you forgot the price and the warrenty has worn out. I know we all "know a guy that installs all his friends stuff" but I have seen these guys do a lot of damage while learning what not to do....... its up to you but it is a double edged sword.

8's are very underrated ive seen and heard many cars with 8's and i would have swore atleast 12's. And are very good at the low and high end of the spectrum.

Im not saying dont get the shop to install it but i would not let them limit me to the choices i have on brands!! If the shop onlys sales pyle/boss/audioblah/ma/legacy then u end up with over priced junk that is installed correctly. Buy online take to shop let them do there thing.
