ORIGINAL: Penance

definetly get the pioneer avid d3 system. It is a nice nav unit and u can actually play around quite well with the sound settings once u have your amp/amps set. Personally, if cash isnt an option, get Boston subs or JL audio. I have dual kicker amps and they really are top notch, id recommend them also, but they are pricey. Hope that helps.
I guess the shop you frequent carries JL audio and Boston as thier highest levels of equipment and tells you nothing is better.

The only kicker I would buy would be a used Z series from the early 90's.

What about it?

It's good for sound deadening your car.

But better can be had for less.

Check out e-dead.

You really can't go wrong with any kind of sound dampening in your car. It takes car of the rattle most commonly heard from the license plate frame in the rear, and it kills any road noise one might experience with the sound down low. I love the stuff. Also when it comes to speakers I would think you definitely want to go with a component style speaker. That's a seperate tweeter and a mid range woofer. Component style speakers give you the crisp highs you may be looking for.
