You should have went to a front manager and complained a little, saying how many times you came back in and they said there is nothing they can do about it besides disconnect stuff, so you went home did some researchof your own and solved the problem for them. I would, you could atleast get a $20 giftcard or something out of it.

When I worked at BB, I had an installer do my Viper Alarm and he told me that my car wouldn't allow you to connect the trunk popper also... Started working at a real shop and let one of the installers borrow my car to go pick some things up for the shop and he came back in and said "Hey your trunk popper doesn't work, did you know that?" I said yes and told him the story, he said no your car definatly does it, and he did it for me, took about an hour but... The reason he told you it doesn't work is because it's easier for him to say that, save an hour of labor so he can make his rate (quota). Any car that has an electric trunk release (any that aren't the pull lever, like your hood does) can be done, alot of big boxes just tell you it won't to save the time.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. Bastards. I also got some more wonderful news from them today. They mounted the GPS unit behind my head unit and they want to charge me $40 everytime I need to update the maps or unit software. Why in the hell would they mount the damn unit where I couldn't get to it? That's just pathetic. It is the last time I will have them do anything for me unless it's the guy I talked to last night who actually knew what he was doing it.

wow.... For some reason I am suprised and yet not suprised. I worked there for 2 yrs over a decade ago and still refuse to buy anything from them and support that evil empire. The bad part is that the boss with the bad attitude is probably a direct result of the way he is treated by his employer, they treat their employees worse then they treat their customers. Go in and raise a big enough fit when they try and charge you. Throw a fit, tell them this entire story and get the head manager involved as they will normally do what ever they have too to make a customer happy, there is no way that should fly.

Where are you located? I will find you a reputable shop that can take care of you on another forum of industry insiders. I can probably even get that fee waived if they should try to charge you with one of the guys on that forum if you do need to go back to WORST LIE.

I live just outside Orlando, FL. Sanford to be exact. I would very much rather find a reputable shop to do all my work from now on or I'm just going to have the guy who fixed my head unit work on it. He seems to be the only person there worth talking to.

Well, I took my car to best buy last night (again) to get my GPS hooked back up. I told the guy who did the installation that I figured out why my speakers were popping and he still swears up and down that it's from the amp turning on too soon. I told him that one of his guys installed a resistor that fixed the problem and he changed the subject. He still refused to admit that he's wrong.

Anyway, they got the GPS hooked back up and tried to say that it was because I wasn't turning it on through the menu option. But when I got it back, I used it the same way I had before and it worked. They really have a problem admitting that they're wrong. It's hilarious.

That's cool, no biggie. I've got my audio and everything the way I want it for the time being (minus the trunk being able to be opened with the remote start). So there's no rush. Thanks anyway.

I see people from naples and fort lauderdale on my other site but that is it so far.

That is funny that they still would not admit defeat, even after it was shoved in thier face. Funny enough we had another guy last week complaining of almost the exact same thing from another bby. I need to find some way to charge them for my info.....
