The Viper I did some work in, the Denali wasstarted about 2 weeks before I worked there but it was a friend of the owners trunk and he has several cars so we got the Denali and got plenty of time a freedom to work on it,aside from doing small things like connecting batteries, putting the enclosure in and stripping wires I didn't do anything note worthy on the Denali. He said he was worked on and done projects I couldn't even dream of, I was showing him that I have worked with and on big projects

Alpine had their F1 status stuff that was nice but cost as much as Mc orhigher Audisonamps and didn't sound half as good as either of them, did they discontinue that?

Yeah, That's gone... Their new high end line is the PDX.

JL and Alpine are going in interesting directions with these units...
They're basically applying DSP to Monoblock amps, making them effectively full range Class-D amps. They are expensive, but you're looking at a 600W (rms) 4 channel amp that's smaller than a ream of paper....

OK well my shop still has me using T-taps. I suck at using them, I already had 2 cars come back because the T-tap wasn't on right. it didn't quite connect to the wire, and my last install about half of the femal ends that go into the ttap would bend and not go in the middle hole part. Pissed me off. Plus it is really hard getting the yellow Ttaps to crimp onto the thicker starter wires. I think I'm gonna just stripe those wires and wrap a long bit of the alarms wire around it and tape it up good and zip tie it, should work better than the failing ttaps. As far as using ttaps for the 16 gauge wires its fine, like door locks, triggers, siren, etc.

there really isn't a right way to use T-taps so don't beat yourself up too bad. They are obviously not the kind of place to learn from its mistakes, doesn't have time to do it right but has to make time to do it twice......
