amp wiring question
ok i am gettin ready to run an amp for two new alpine door speakers and i will be putting in another amp as well as a box with 12's in them soon after. where have you guys ran you wiring to the deck? under the console, under carpet, etc. the least intrusive but nicest looking is what i am going for. Isnt there a way i can "piggyback" amps somehow so i only need one power line running to the deck?
the easiest way to run wires is down the side, under the carpet. you can pull the plastic panels on the side and simply tuck them under the carpet. You can use a distrobution block to seperate a single power wire to two or more amps the same as I did. My dist block is on page 4 or 5 of my cardomain page. I would not recommend putting it where I did as it is difficult to put it in the consol but you can put it in the rear by the amps.

running wires down the sides.....i have to see if my rear seats come out easily or not as i am not sure exactly if running wires in the wells along the sides (think convertible) is the best and easiest place to run them. any thoughts?
the baffles are just to mount the 6.5" speaker into a 5 x7 hole, I also made an enclosure for the woofers to help them out in the low end bass.
It is not as hard as you think it is. If you start pulling on the back part of the door sill it will pull right off while making a really bad noise that is normal. The rear seat is easy to remove. If you look at the where the seat meets the car, directly between the legs of the passengers(if there were any) you will see a small white piece of plastic. IT is raised in the middle and if you push it in)with a screw driver or something solie) the seat will release. All you need to do is to work the seat belts through the holes and it will pull right out. Should take less then 5 mins once you find the plastic pieces.
As for the dist block that will be up to you really since I do not know how you are setting your trunk up with your equipment. Take the equipment out to the trunk and try the equipment in different places to see what you like. The power wire will normally go down the drivers side, and your rca's down the passenger.
