Hey all.

I just hooked up my AVIC-Z2 the other day and was dissapointed with the bass coming from the unit. Idk if I didn't hook something up right, but I was wanting to upgrade my subs anyways. For those of you with S197 stangs, which subs do you have, and how do you like them? What are the best subs to go with the headunit I have, or does it matter?

id also reccomend taking into consideration the type of music you listen to. rap/techno you just need something loud. for rock, a little more crisp. but if you want to have the bass as loud as you would with a rap song, then you need a powerful subwoofer, because the bass isint as pronounced. for metal, bass for some bands is more prounounced than rock bands, so you mainly just want a good crisp sub, in a sealed box.

 

You will have to purchase a Woofer(s) and and an Amplifier that are within your budget as well as what will work well in the avalible space you have or what your willing to "give up" you also have to count for other items like RCA's power andground wire...
