Default Connecting a 4 channel AMP

So I am going to use a 4 channel profile amp and bridge it so that the first two channels are together to power a set of componets and the 3 and 4th channels are together to drive a sub. Now since my deck has a subwoofer out, so I just hook up the RCAs to the amp and leave the filter to ALL or do I need to put the Low Pass on it? Also to confirm, for the components, I just leave it on All and let the crossovers handle the rest?

Im pretty sure I know the answers but I want to be sure as Ive never done this kind of set up before. Right now I have a mono block for subs, and in my old car I ran a two channel bridged to power the subs. My speakers have always been deck driven

Only bridge the amp if the manual says you can, usually only a two Chanel can be bridged. power eitherall components or all subs on an amp. If your going to run a sub put it on low pass so you don't damage the sub

You can power your system the way you described no problem, I don't know why ^he^ stated that. You should make sure the amp is bridgable though. And if you gave us the model number that would help also. Most amplifiers have a switch for the 1 and 2 channel and then a second switch for the 3 and 4 channel, you should set the 1 and 2 to full and the 3 and 4 to LPF.

U can bridge the amp, but you need to make sure you know what ohms the components are recommend to be stable at, and if your amp in capabale of dropping that low in ohms. Or you will expirence clipping

i wouldn't run a sub AND speakers off of same amp. and i'm guessing that the 2 door speakers are 4ohms, each, which means you'd wire them in parallel for 2ohms, which, that amp is not stable at bridged. 4 ohm minimun for a bridged channel(2 ohm mininum for a single channel) for most ~~non mono amps~~ amps.

but if you're set on doing(which i dont recommend), i'd run a RCA that turns 2 channels into one, then turn them back into 2 ( a 4 channel amp should have 2 white and 2 red input RCA jacks) and use the 'front' and 'sub' RCA outs on the head unit. then if the amp has it, turn on the low pass filter(LPF) for the sub, and use the high pass filter (HPF) for the 2 comps.

IMO, i'd use that amp (if it has decent sound) to power the 2 comps. and save for a sub amp.

~~ Edit ~~

The amp can be bridged on two channels. Its the Profile HA1040 1000 watt amp. The sub is a eD 13kv2 and the components are CDT Audio CL-S60A. Though reading their specs again There maybe an issue with how I described hooking them up. Though I still think this one amp should be able to do it.

Does this change people thoughts?

just to warn you, that amp is prolly doing around 700watts of clean power. but still a decent amp for the price. just dont crank gains please.

the amp can do what you want it to, im just not a big fan of running a sub and comps of same amp.

Ok, so upon further reading and review, I still plan to go with this setup as it should give me good sound, and still have thump while giving me a large portion of my trunk back, as the box with the 2 12" alpines is just massive. Wiring wise though, I will not bridge channels 1 and 2, leave the crossover off and let the crossovers with the speakers do the work. I will bridge channels 3 and 4, use the sub pre out from my deck and the LP filter on the amp. Should I use the Bass Boost switch on the back of the amp? Any reccomendations on the frequency I should tune it to for that eD sub in a 1 Cu Ft box?
