Default This Sub Any Good?

I was thinking about purchasing this sub for my 2006 Mustang GT Coupe. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...=113&avf=N. Does anyone have any experience with it? I am not looking for overly loud bass. Just solid, nice sounding bass. I can't afford to have two enclosed subs that take up my room. Anything else I should consider buying with this, like an amp?

Someone on here has that, he was just posting less than a week ago about what to replace it with if that helps.

I have it, it hits nice and clean. Pretty suprising for the price. I see you have an aftermarket headunit, so it should be awesome with that. I tweaked it a bit with my alpine and it hits even better now.. just the way I like it.

I dont have any experience with EFX subs but in my last car i had a EFXHD5001 1200 watt max amp and never had any problem out of it. The hi's an lo's were pretty good and the bass was amazing. I had it hooked up to 2 12' MTX MXS1204, my eardrums would hurt everytime i got in the car.

Thier amp puts out 1500 watts max and 100x2 at 4 ohms rms with a ton of distortion.

Thier sub is bound to perform to the same terrible standards.

It is more then likely aroudn the quality of a visonik I picked up in a box with an amp new for $20... They are great for plugging into the wall and thats about it.

If ur going for decent sound in a small space I'd get a Kicker L5 or L7 solobaric square sub in a truck box. I put one in my friends cavalier and it was awesome. Not crazy bass all the time, but it could shake the windows if you wanted it to. Hook one of those to an MTX amp and you'll have a nice sounding system with plenty of trunk space.
