I have a crappy Sirius Stratus in my car (02 GT) and it was worked fine until recently. When I installed it I had to get a little box to dial the voltage down from 12 volt to 5, which is what the device required. Now almost a year later the device just reboots, or turns off all on its own. I have naerrowed it down to 3 things.
1. The radio
2. The convertor
3. Voltage
I checked the voltage the device is getting and it is getting 5.5 V. (5V device). Is the extra half of a volt enough to overdrive it? I would like to rule this option out before I start tearing the dash apart to get to the convertor to test if that is what is kicking out. Thanks.

No, it will act weird if the voltage is too low but 5.5V is fine because it will be able to draw the current it needs. Also, you can exclude the radio because it probably does not power the unit. We that said that leaves the Sirius. Sounds like it crapped out on you dude.
