Is HD radio worth $100?
What do you guys thing of HD radio? Is it really better than FM? I have read the reception is a bit flakey at times but my local favorite station isnt running commercials right now. That would almost be worth the upgrade right there. I just wonder if HD is here to stay....

Nope
Well is a remote start system of value to you? Depends, I live in an area with cold winters and humid and hot summers, so of course it is.
It's up to you if it's something you want. Is the sacrifice worth the benefits? As a former salesmen I was always told to overwhelm your reasons for not needing it with the benefits of having it.

I've been meaning to ask the same question myself.
Is HD radio really all that crystal clear goodness that it's been hyped up to be? Right now I have XM in my car, so that's a good gauge for me. How does it sound compared to sat radio?

I have the HD radio and i love it. its alot clearer depending on where you are and one thing about it that i really liked, was that some stations put the song title and the artist on the screen of the radio. i bought a JVC head unit with the HD receiver built in. it works pretty damn good. compared to sat radio, it dosen't really. i mean, sat radio is the best your gonna get for the most part as far as channel selection goes. but i didn't want to buy a monthy subscription and all that b.s. so i just shopped around and found the JVC unit and got that.
Its upto you honestly. If you leave near a lot of cities (aka near towers) then its no big deal. However, if its worth the $$$ to you to hear more channels then I say go for it. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
