Default Replacing Mach 460 Amp

So, I recently got a new deck installed. They wired it wrong and blew my sub amp, and are refusing to fix it because "We just wired it the same way the last deck was." They re-wired it the correct way (thanks ttocs) and suggested I get a stock replacement amp. I couldn't find a stock replacement locally.I figure I'll haveto replace it with an aftermarket amp. My question is: are there any special things I need to know about putting in an aftermarket amp?

Use a quality amp wire kit. I'd go with either a rockford or the new Alpine 4 channel.

if you add an aftermarket amp to stock woofers you wil not be happy. The stock 8 ohm woofers will draw very little power from the aftermarket amps, this with the small size is a formula for bad sound. Have you stared simple and checked all the fuses to see if any are blown, turning the amp off? Under the hood? What do you have playing now(equipment wise)?
