Default Removing 2004 Mach CD 6 Head unit

First I apologize if this has been discussed, but my searches returned nothing. I have a 2004 GT with the Mach system in it. I plan on replacing it. Normally Ford has the holes for the keys to get the stocker out, but this one does not. Any suggestions on how it comes out before I rip into it?? thanks....

I think there are holes, but they are hidden behind tha plastic surround panel which you need to remove first(?)

Doesn't appear to be behind the molding...any ideas on how to get that off?

I have an 04 gt and you should just be able to GENTLY pry it off. I have not opened mine yet but all fords that I have replaced stereos in except an escort have been pried off with my fingers. I would start at the top and work my way down. I think Grey is right with them behind the plastic

ive got an 03 gt and all you have to do is pry off the plastic around the shifter boot, then the plastic around the vents should pry off, there are a few screws holding the head unit in once you get those out you should be able to pull it right out.
