[8D] I just ordered a Kicker mono amp, loc, and amp wire kit to connect my 10" solobaric. I haven't hooked up an amp in a few years so am a little rusty. Where do you typically mount the amp? I am thinking driver side fender well towards the front? I'd like to see the amp so the trunk looks nice, so I was also thinking in the seat back.

On the right side of my trunk I am putting in the N20 bottle, so that side is out. The woofer will go on the driver side.

I couldn't find any pics of installs in the search ... any pics?

How do you mount the amp? I imagine on a board and then the board to the car?

Mount it to the box. I usually do this in case I need to make an adjustment. Then all I have to do is slide the box out, make adjustments, then slide it back. But on the back of the seat would be cool, although putting the seat down would be kind of a pain. I would suggest using butt end quick connects on all wires coming into the amp, this way if you need to take the box out for any reason you won't have to take all the wires off the amp (box mounting application).

 

got mine mounted on the trunk lid. works great and is out of the way of everything. makes adjustment and box removaleasy. if its a big amp youll need to get stronger trunk struts

 

I have both my amps mounted to the box. Actualy have 2 1x3 boards screwed to the box and the amps are mounted on to them.
