got my box
well my buddy made me a box a while ago when i detailed his car. i just picked it up today. he got the plans off the internet and built it. heres a few pictures. i dont know what to put in it or what amp. i want to keep my stock head unit. i plan on doing a back seat delete. the holes are for 8"s
this inside of the box is like a spiral, but with corners.

pictures are blurry, i need to adjust my camera settings

That is a pretty big box for 2 8's. But by your port area it looks like you are going for SPL.
Whatare the volume and tuning frequency?
What type of 8's are your running?
My RE 8's sounded great in a cube ported to 35hz.

I would recommend you get the specs of the box to at a minimum avoid the subs you put in sounding terrible. Not every box is made for an SPL setup, but yours is beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Big *** box!
Yeah you need some hefty 8" woofers for that for sure. Here's a couple to consider in the meantime get us dimensions or specs on the box... RE's, SS, eD even (probably be the cheapest way), ID.
We do need to know how big that box is and the tuning. Take measurements, or hell ask your friend, if he built the thing I would assume he had somewhat of a clue as far as dimensions and tuning.

did he build the box to use all the wood he had or did he build it to the recommended specs? That box looks HUGE as does the port, can you take some measurements so we can try and figure out what subs you might need? I am running 4 8's and your box actually looks a little bigger........... it is on page 7 of my cardomain page if you want to compair.
Did he sprinkle carrot juice on the spot for the holes and let a ravid rabbit chew threw it? I am just bustin yer buddy's ***** as I knonw as long as they fit the hole it don't matter but there is something to be said for attention to quality.
