does anyone know how to get the cd player to work i went and bought the wiring harness for my 89 mustang that is supposed to just wire up to you deck then plug into the factory lpugs and the radio **** on but there is no sound so i think it ****d up the stock amp or sumthing so now i just want to elliminate the amp all together. does anyone have a wiring diagram or know how to go about elliminating this amp? i dont even know though if you have to ellimnate the amp so anyone who has around the same year car and has a deck in it please tell me how you did it

Try bypassing the stock amp. I am not sure about any harnesses for it I just rewired my speakers when I had that problem.

 

i know what ur goin through, you should have all power but no sound. you have to rip that factory amp out of there and your problems will be solved.

 

i had that problem with mine, i had to go back and get yet ANOTHER adapter cuase i had the crappy ford "premium sound" package and that was another 20 bucks

or you can screw around with your wiring and rip out the amp, but the extra adapter is so much easier

 

the first time I installed my radio, I think the anger of it not having any sound made me RIP out the factory amp. I quickly made a harness for myself, and after all that, it worked.
