Default Dyin' for some good sound!!!

I bought my '03 GT Convertable a few months back and I really want to put a sound system in it. Of course with the smaller trunk and the convertable top taking up a bit of room, I'm finding this difficult. Anyone have any suggestions for a set-up in the trunk with 1 or 2 subs and 2 amps? I want the best possible sound with the top up and down!! Also, what brand and size subs and amps should i get? What brand of 6 1/2 inch mid-bass should i put in my door? will tweeters fit into the sail on the door or will some fiberglass fabrication be needed? How about any suggestions on a headunit brand to go with it all? Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated! Thanks!

i would go with a pionner head unit, and the stage 3 12 inch fosgate subs, with a fosgate speakers, and amps kinda pricy though

I'd go Alpine 9835 deck, 1 Fosgate power stage 2 12, and 2 sets of fosgate p1682s (or similar) and a Memphis Belle 1300W 5 channel amp.

i have an 03 stang vert also. I have 1 800 watt amp pushing 2 12" infinity reference subs. I didnt have to buy a custom box, either. I just got a normal Q-logic sealed box for 2 12's. sounds great. Wasn't too expensive either. 100 for each sub, 230 for the amp, and 60 for the box. I love it. good sound with top up or down

So, what does your trunk look like? I would just like to see some pics to see how much trunk room is left.

forget about all this crap and go with a 9815 cda deck from alpine then get a jl audio amp 500/1 and run 2 12" JL audio then go with the alpine type s speakers for the mids and highs thats what i did then run the mids and highs off the factory 460 watts it comes with because the car comes with two factory amps. trust me i have a 2004 MACH1 and its very loud and extremely clear and fdo get a custom box to fit the car the sound is better

JL is the way to go for subs....you can do one 12 or two 10's. I would recommend getting an amp for the bass and one for the mids and highs. JL also makes some great speakers for mids and highs. Check out the JLXR's...they are top of the line.

I'd go with either Kicker or JL Audio, JL audio is expensive but its the best. Kicker is awesome too and reasondably priced! So I'd say those two or Alpine.
