Default Speakers and amp

I just got a Eclipse 6620to replace the Shaker 500 head unit. What would be a good set of speakers and an amp to go with the new head unit? Price range for both speakers and amp would be 500-800.

I would go with something like this...

http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...roducts_id=680$750

or

http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...roducts_id=660$475

There are other great comp sets and better amps, but you will have a very very hard time finding anything close to this quality for the price!

Thanks for the help. What is the major difference between the two speaker sets. Both combo's come with the same amp.

The amps have one letter difference and the more expensive one gives you more power.

The more you spend the better speakers you get. Most people will be very satisified with the $545 set, but some people expect better. The iridiums are very very nice speakers.

Thanks I didn't notice that. I think I will save up for the iridiums combo. What would be a good sub/amp combo to go with these. Possibly 2 12's. Price range around 800-1200.

I prefer my amps to match so I would package them together with an ED nine.1 amp for the subs.

For subs I'd look into fi car audio q's or if you package a couple 13O's or a single 13AV with ED you will save even more money.

Elemental designs is a great value!!!

With the package builder the nine.1 and 13AV.2 only came to 500. Should I stick with 1 13AV.2 or should I go with 2? ED will save me a bunch of money I can use for a custom box and sound deadening.

nine will only properly power 1 sub and could get quite loud if the right box is used. Using 2 Nine's and the 2 channel (over 300amps) would require some modest electrical upgrades.

Word.

Stick with the single 13AV on a Nine.1

It will get plenty loud in a ported box.

I went down to a local shop to see how much the install would be for the components and the nine.2x and they basically told me ed was crap and that I was better off buying alpine, kenwood, or mb quarts. This was just them trying to take my money right? On average how much should the install for the components and the amp run?
