Where is the best place to place/install an amp?

Specifically in a foxbody mustang, or just in general..

 

does anyone even put systems in foxes?

just kidding... Not many people are answering because there really is no best place for any car, it depends on the install. The best place will be a convenient location normally between the deck and the speakers. You may want a stealth install where you ditch the spare tire and put the box/amp in the spare tire well or you may do a rear seat delete and put it there, it really doesn't matter as long as you are not mounting it to the gas tank, transmission, or firewall.

i just screwed it to the back of the box.. its gonna work, i wanted it behind my back seat so it would be hidden.. i am working on a sleeper sound system in my car.. i dont want anyone to think its actually in there..

 

Mines under the drivers seat, thats where the original owner put it but its not really a good spot cuz it gets scraped up from adjusting the seat.

 

i have my amp under my passenger seat, it hasnt gotten any war wounds yet, but who cares as long the internals are fine. but i think some where under a seat is probably a good place for a "sleeper" and im curious, how you gonna hide them subs? unless your going with 8 inchers
