haaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaahahah ahahaha lol.
You took it to worst lie to fix it? man that is desperate and you are just setting yourself up for failure there. They couldn't finger it out? REEEEaly???
Again I would get that cable and do my test real quick. It should not cost more then $10 and will tell you immediatly if the problem is the deck/rca's or if it is the amp.
It is possible to turn off the sub output on some decks, I am not familiar with yours. Have you checked to see if the rcas are still plugged into the deck?

i know this may not be the problem
but,
my friend had a problem with is subs the other day
he even went so far as taking it to besy buy and they couldn't find it
while we were there, we looked at the amp, and it turned out, the eq thing was sent to flat
he flipped it back to the other side and it turned right on
just an idea

If you have some speaker wire, to make sure your subs work in the box just use a small household batter on the positive and negative wiring and see if the cone moves. Way easier then hooking up to HT.
Do you have a voltmeter. That would also be a great tool to diagnosing your issue and you can buy one for less then $15 many places.

ok, you had the deck in the car on, the volume on the ipod up, and connected the rca's to the input on the amp right? Test the sub with a battery or an ohm meter and tell us what you have.
