amp advice
would two of these be too much? http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductC...;idproduct=380
and the subs are facing sideways like facing the drivers and passengers side of the car, the OTHER local shop said that is "louder" in the car that way? true or should i face them a different way?

Two of those would be way to much. Your subs wired in parrallel are a 1 ohm load each. If you wanted to run two amps, get an amp that can run around 500 watts at 1 ohm.
Actually, with two separate ported enclosures facing each other I think you are bound to get some cancellation. I would build a custom ported box so that you can put both subs facing the same direction.

okay.. well they arent facing eachother they are facing opposite. like one is facing drivers quarter panel and ones facing the passengers quarter panel.. but i will look into a custom box i just got alot of money at my grad party yesterday
I've got an easy questions for you.
Have you actually checked to see how your subs are wired. I'm betting you keep blowing the amp becuase all of your VC's are wired in parrallel giving that amp a 0.5 ohm load which it is not rated for. You could probibly increase the gains if you wiried it in series parrallel to a total load of 1 ohm.

i think it is parallel, im pretty sure the shop guy said that. umm its like i have one wire going from one side positive to the other side negative. and the wire going to the amp is one side positive and the other is on the other side negative. and when it feeds into the amp the wires are connected every other part. like the amp has a + - + - and one subs wires goin into the first + and the 4th - and the second sub is goin into the second - and the 3rd + .....
If you can turn them so they are facing towards the trunk lid...
You need to check your wiring configuration for sure...
Thats not cost on the amp, thats normal price see... http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_id=6357
This is how you need to wire them, or as P said you will need two amps that are 1 ohm stable

Couple other options

Seight, I don't think that cadence will work.
If he has dual 2 ohm coil woofers that gives either a 1 ohm load in stereo with woofers in parrallel, or a 2 ohm final load bridged in series parrallel combination.

Well ****. Things not stable bridge at 2 ohm... Damn.
Well break your budget and do...
