Default Please help me pick a sub

You guys gave great advice when I was setting up my comps, I couldn't be happier. Now I'm trying to finish my system off with a 12" subwoofer and was hoping you guys could help me pick a good sub.

I have this amp: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=15169

And this enclosure: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...gic&tp=129

I listen to about a 50/50 mix of rock and rap, so I'd be looking for a sub that was versatile enough to sound good for either type of music.

As far as price, I'm tentatively setting my maximum at $200.00, but I'm also working on my suspension so if I can get a great one for far less then I'll be really happy. I was looking at the eD 13kv.2 D4s on clearance for $50.00, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing out on something better or more suited to my application.

Thanks ahead of time for the help.

how about an MTX 8500?

I had one for a while, they get loud sealed or ported and 600w on your MTX amp
would be perfect - Dont know if it will fit into that enclosure though,Qlogic is a pretty limp
enclosure - The 8500 will pound your stang with either rock or rap.......

What isthe depth on the enclosure? I look would for some sort of dual voice( you will need a daul 4 ohm sub) with that amp. I always been a fan of rockford and alpine. Rockford P3 and Alpine Type R would work well they both need around 1.00ft3 of air space after the sub displacement in the box.

So one of these would bea better choice than the eD sub? I know that there are a lot of good brands out there I've never heardofbut I've really never heard of these.

MTX FTW...Im sorry I dont know exactly what sub would work (seems like excelerater knows tho), but I do know that MTX subs are great...my friend has 2 12" mtx thunder 5500 in his car and they kick pretty hard. I just ordered 2 12" mtx thunder 7500 for my car to replace my crappy visoniks. Also, mtx would definitely be in your price range, and may even save you cash for your suspension

That Audioque looks like a really good fit.

Two of the clearance 13Kv2's would not be a good fit becuase they are DVC 4 ohm woofers which would give you only 150 watts per sub at the amps minimum rated impedance. You would be much better delivering one woofer 600 watts.
