Please help me pick a sub
Ok, how about some extreme noobquestions that will help me make a better informed decision:
1. How do I match up a sub with my amp? Based on its specs, am I looking for a 300w RMS and 600+w MAX sub at 4 ohms? Or at 4 ohms am I at 300w MAX?
2. My amp can run 600w MAX at 2 ohms, does that mean if I get a 2 ohm sub I need to look for 600w RMS? If not, how do you match up a 2 ohm sub to your amp? Are these better?
3. Does it matter if it is a single or dual (or more) voice coil with a mono block amp? Are you using less power to the sub if you are having to power more than one voice coil?
4. What is a voice coild and why do they have multiple voice coils that need to be powered?
Sorry about all the questions but you can see how little I actually know.

850AQ will compete with fi on the same level. Good thing about AQ is that DD makes them and they use american coils, and spiders<< very important parts for longevity of the sub. There basiclly DD's cheaper brother and that right there is the selling point. Even if they were 1/4 the quality of a DD sub they wouldownall in its price range.Cant go wrong with AQ.
