i dont know if this has been asked before, but i'm asking anyway. i bought a new head unit for my 2004 mach 1. it has the mach 460 sound system with a 6 disc changer. anyway, i bought a wiring harness at circuit city, and of course its the wrong one. i ordered this one

from crutchfield. is there anything else i have to get before i start ripping my car apart?
i also soddered a 1500(1.5k)ohm resistor into the remote wire on the aftermarket stereo's harness because the guy at circuit city said i had todue to a popping sound from the factory amp. he was wrong about the harness, so is he wrong about the resistor too? by the way, i want to keep the factory amp and speakers operational. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

 

that looks like the right hrns but to be sure you should pull your deck out and compair the shape and # of pins for the hrns on the back of the deck(the should look like the same size and shape).

He was right about the 1.5k resistor.
