feedback in new speaker, please help me!!!
OK, About a week ago my passenger's side front speaker blew. Well I got lucky cuz my gf's dad gave me some speakers that were in the trunk of a car he just bought. nothing special, just normal sized speakers. Look like the kind ya buy from wal mart. I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with the speaker. Well when I went to connect it, the speaker doesn't have a plug like the stock one did, to match the one on the car's wiring harness. So I cut the wires just behind the plug on the harness and wired them up directly to the speaker. the speaker has two holes that you put the wires in and tighten down- one red and one black. the car's wiring harness has two wires that went into the stock plug, one green and one white. I mated the white with the red and the green with the black. the speaker works, but I'm getting feedback. The car's wiring harness has the green and white wire electric taped together all the way till about an inch before the both end. There's another wire which is identical to the one for my speaker coming from the wiring harness in the door which was the first one i tried cutting, but the speaker wouldn't work so I put duct tape over the tips and left it alone- it was just hanging in the door to start with.
