Default power wire to sub

right now, i have 2 10" subs in my trunk connected to a 600w amp. i dont need this much bass for my car, because all i really listen to is rock, so i just want fuller sound. and my roommate just happened to have an infinity basslink sub in his closet so im going to put this in instead. i could really use the trunk space too. the problem is, the power wire that is coming from my battery to the amp now is a monster cable and is thick (im guessing 4 gauge). and the ground cable is the same size. the power and ground terminals on the basslink sub look like they wont hold any wire thicker than about 6-8 gauge. is there any way to make these cables work for this sub? or am i going to have to run a new, thinner wire to the battery and use that. the remote wire is about 12 gauge so i think it will be fine. thanks for the help guys.

you can always use a distrobution block to make the wire smaller, and run a new ground.

just trim the wire down a little bit to make it skinnier, or the distributor block is a good idea...but 6 gauge wire is tiny, you sure you cant fit 4 in that amp?

Distribution block from 4g to 8g, Then yeah just run a new 8g ground. The terminals on the basslink is 8g.

or

Get some 4g spade terminals, crimp them on to the power and ground, and then just cut off one of the forks on the terminal. I do the distribution block tho.

u can block it or go cheap routine and reduce wire sixe to what ever gauge is needed.. is this the best way by far noo.. will it wrk and be trouble freei say yes but sometime stuff messes up (user issue mostly) but its fairly simple and staghit forward. many have done this i mean try it and see if it wrks no damage will come from this unless its just a freak accident and if its not up to your quality or look then go for a block.
