common problem?

Default common problem?

alright i gotta 87 hatchback and i just put in 2 new 12" subs, and theres baaad rattling behind the licence plate, but i cant find the rattle, its in that general area, any one know?

tail lights? play some bass heavy music and then go and try to isolate the rattle by pushing on the pieces to see what stops it.

Once you isolate the rattle, check and make sure no screws or bolts are loose. If that doesnt fix the problem get some dynamat or some product on the lines of that. To dampin the rattle.

Lots of stuff to check back there.

Check the lic. plate screws, taillight bolts, make sure the bulb connectors arent working loose, and check all the screws holding the hatch panels down. Dont forget to check the mounting tabs at the bottom of the two trim pieces around the hatch latch. Should be a few screws down there. Also check the spare, jack, tire iron, and the hold down. If you have one of those hard tire well cover boards or the trim panel on the underside of the hatch, check that to.

Could be any of those. Check the hatch bump stops to. Ive had those rattle already.
