SoCal Mach 1000 Installation Place?
Hey guys,
I just purchased a Mach 1000 Audio System with the amps, subs, and I have all new wiring. I am in Orange County, CA and I was wondering if any of you have upgraded your 460 for the 1000 and if so, where did you do it? I called all the local Ford dealerships and they have no clue what they heck the Mach 1000 is. I know there are audio shops that would likely install it for me, but I wanted to see if any of you have done this and where, since they would have experience on doing this.
Thanks,

I have a link on another computer that showes how to do it yourself. It looked like a pretty simple plug-n-play with the exception of the mounting of the woofers. Check back later tonight, tomorrow at the latest. At the very least you can take this to a shop and give them a step-by-step if you don't want to do it yourself.
Just curious, how much did you pay>?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I did see this article: http://www.mustang50magazine.com/fea...all/index.html and that does a good job of explaining it. I would consider doing it myself, but I would rather take it to a shop if it's not too expensive for that.
I paid $435 with brand new wiring btw

yeah, I looked into that but it would be about 600 bucks for the same output from 1 sub. The 1000 fits well with the trunk of my the Mustang to maximize space and it looks pretty cool when you open the trunk.
Well obviously by adding any kind of system in the trunk is going to diminish the size of the trunk. There is a guy who sells boxes custom designed for the trunk of the Mustang, but the Mach 1000 Subs fit right in the cavities on either side and the amp rack goes towards the back. So for a dual sub system, the space it takes up is relatively small for what it is. I'll be installing it shortly so I will see how it compares to my friend's single Kicker CVT 10" at between 300-400 watts
It sounds pretty nice. I'll just have to see. I've made my choice already so it should be fine with me. I don't need an earthquake maker in my car, just something that's decently powerful, hits clean, and adds some bass to my songs
