Default subs cutting out

first off, i cant remember if i made a thread about this yet or not, i can't find anything on it.

i recently put in some used kicker comp cvr's 12" and an american republic 2,000 watt amp. i don't know the RMS. everything was working great until i bridged it. 4 channel amp, using all four channels. i'll be listening to my music and then all of the sudden it the subs will cut out until i shut them off and give them power again. people said i messed up the ohm load when i bridged it, if that's the case then how do i fix it? thanks guys!

we will need to know the voice coil configeration(single or dual) and the impedence(ohms) of the coils.

next time it cuts out see if the amp is hot and if there are any warning lights on it but it sounds like you are putting the amp into protection mode to keep from blowing.

Yeah sounds like you have the subs wired at a to low of an impedence and is over heating the amp. You must have it wired below 2 ohms bc most 4ch & 2ch amps can handle 2 ohms on each channel, but not brigded at 2 ohms or lower.
